How it Works
A Meaningful Fundraiser would like to offer your group a way to earn money to improve the quality of your organizations while at the same time improving the lives of others with books full of love and meaning. A Meaningful Fundraiser is made up of a group of publishers who are committed to producing meaningful, life-changing material for families and children. Instead of leaving you to sell processed cookies or gift-wrap trinkets, we would like to offer our artful books and music as a fundraiser for your group.
Qualified fundraising groups will receive 35% of the sale price from each book or item sold from our catalog. Plus, we have many different ways that an organization can participate in A Meaningful Fundraiser, so it is certain that your organization will find a way that works for you. Fundraising groups will have their organization name listed on the checkout page of our website, which can be used by out-of-town friends and relatives to order books which can be shipped direct to their homes. Please remember to let anyone ordering online know that they will be charged a shipping fee appropriate for their postal code.
- You can send out emails to friends, family, even other groups, to have them browse through our online catalog and order books. You can even suggest that they forward the email to their friends, multiplying your fundraising potential.
- Your organization name will be listed on our website for two months from the start of your fundraiser or we can customize your arrangement if you require more time.
- You will be sent an automated email each time someone makes a purchase from our online catalog using your ordering code so that you can keep track of your group’s sales progress.
We invite you to browse through our current online catalog at www.ameaningfulfundraiser.com/catalog to get an idea of the quality and character of our current selection.
Your group may be eligible to receive one free copy of a pre-selected book from our catalog, autographed by the author, to use as a sample or display.
- At the end of the sale, or perhaps even during the sale, you could hold a live or silent auction, with the autographed books going to the highest bidder.
In order to participate as a fundraiser, your group must be able to sell at least 30 books.

Different Ways to Fundraise
There are so many ways to do A Meaningful Fundraiser. Even if your organization has never done one before, has had little results from past fundraisers, or just isn’t sure a fundraiser would work well for you, we are sure that A Meaningful Fundraiser is still worth a try for you. You really have nothing to lose…and a lot to gain.

Nothing-to-Lose Plan
Allow us to put your group on our list of participants so that when shoppers come to our website to buy meaningful books and music, they can choose your organization’s name from the list at the shopping checkout. Every time a shopper selects your group's name, 35% of sales goes straight to you and your group! There is nothing to do besides collect money for your group....and perhaps spread the word about our online catalog!
Super Simple Plan
Send out an email to all of your group members (or talk to them at your next meeting) telling them that you will be participating in A Meaningful Fundraiser. Give them a copy of one of our suggested email templates and have them send the template to everyone in their email Contact List. This will direct all of their friends and family to our online catalog where they can view the items available and order what they want using your group's name. Your group gets money for the orders and all that your members had to do was push “Send” on an email.
Market/Conference Exhibitor Plan
Often there are local craft markets or trade conferences in your area that have shoppers/attendees who would be interested in products from our catalog. These may be great opportunities for your group to both promote your cause and fundraise at the same time. If we also feel that the conference has a high potential we can make arrangements to ship you some sample books/products in advance for you to display. Additionally, we can make available a special area of our site for you to enter non-credit card orders (checks or cash) in order to simplify sales tracking. We have had several successes in the past and can share our experience with you to help you get the most of your time.
Book Fair Event Plan
Hold a book fair where people can come and view our special print catalogs, read sample books (you may want to buy sample books in advance for this one), and place their orders. You can have a story time corner for children where they can sit and listen to someone reading our books. You could do a variety of other accompanying activities to attract families and make the event fun. For this one you would definitely want to get the word out and let everyone know about your event. You could send notice out to your local papers, post flyers, and send out email announcements.

Terms and Conditions
- There is no fee for an organization to participate in A Meaningful Fundraiser.
- Your organization will receive 35% of every online product sale using your organization’s name during your fundraising period (shipping, handling and tax are not included in this computation).
- Your organization's name will be listed on the A Meaningful Fundraiser website for the duration of your fundraising period.
- Your fundraising period begins after your application is approved, your organization is notified and the organization name is listed on the A Meaningful Fundraiser website.
- The default fundraising period is two months; any requested change to this time period must be noted on your application and approved.
- In order to participate you must be confident your organization will be able sell at least 30 books/CDs/DVDs.
- Current fundraiser status will be available to the organization at any time during or after completion of your fundraising period.
- Your organization will receive two disbursements of your raised funds along with an itemized account of sales, one at the half way point of your fundraising period and one at completion.
